PanceFlip Privacy Policy

PanceFlip ("we", "us") is a study app for the PANCE exam. This policy explains what we collect when you use the PanceFlip app, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address, the display name you choose, and which sign-in method you use (email and password, Google, or Apple) along with the account identifier that provider gives us. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive only the relay address or no address at all. We never receive or store your password; it is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Study activity. The questions you answer, whether you were right, when you answered, when you reveal an explanation, and the rating we calculate from your answers.
- Feedback. Anything you send us through the in-app feedback form, including the question it is about. Please do not include personal information in feedback.
- Device and connection information. Your IP address, your device model, and basic app or browser information, recorded when you sign in and use the app.
The app also keeps a few things on your device only: your sign-in token, your study filter, and whether you have seen in-app tips.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, health information, or payment information. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To run the app: grade answers, calculate your rating, and show your progress.
- To read and act on your feedback and fix problems with questions.
- To prevent abuse and protect the service.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the app for us, and only as needed to do that:
- Google (Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In) for sign-in.
- Apple for Sign in with Apple.
- Supabase and Amazon Web Services for database and server hosting.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and study history until you delete your account. Sign-in records, including IP addresses, are deleted 30 days after a session ends.
Deleting your account and your choices
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, sign-in records, study history, and feedback from our database, and removes your sign-in account from Firebase. Copies may persist in backups for a limited time.
You can change your display name in the app. To request a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion without using the app, email privacy@panceflip.com. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are stored only in hashed form on our servers and in your device's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee security.
Children
PanceFlip is intended for adults preparing for a professional exam. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where your data is processed
PanceFlip is offered in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and we will tell you in the app about changes that materially affect how we use your information.
